One thing I know about being an entrepreneur is that it can be outrageously lonely.
Another thing I know is that there are very few people in your life who are both qualified and have the guts to tell you the truth about your business.
In my entrepreneurial journey, I’ve found immense value in peer groups.
In the past, I’ve been fortunate to observe or participate in peer group meetings with Vistage and Hampton. In these communities, founders/CEOs have a forum to discuss things that almost no one else understands, and sometimes no one else can or should know.
Members are bound by the strictest confidentiality agreements which allows members to let their guard down and talk about the real stuff.
The incumbent peer group organizations are wonderful, and I even continue to participate in some of them myself.
But they’re lacking some specific things that are important to me. So in 2024, I started Dominion Groups to bring the peer groups of my dreams to the Des Moines area!
Dominion Groups are cohorts of 8 younger, high-performing, Christian* business leaders in the Des Moines area. By joining a Dominion Group, you’re also a part of the broader Dominion Groups community comprised of all members across all groups.
In additional to the monthly peer group meetings, Dominion Groups members also have access to participate in:
*(Note: if you wouldn’t call yourself a Christian, we’d still love for you to join us. And we won’t make you feel awkward about it. We have some members who are a good fit despite being heathens. Just know that we’ll often discuss applying Biblical principles in our businesses, expect Christian ethics in business, etc. As long as you’re cool with that, join us!)
